Straight answers

Everything to knowbefore the walkthrough.

Anything else, ask the owner standing on your property. Kyle and Trevor price and build every job themselves.

How fast do I get a price?

You get a written, itemized bid within 24 hours of the walkthrough. Once you approve it, that is the price your job gets built for.

Who is my point of contact?

Kyle or Trevor. The two owners walk your property, price your job and run your build. When you call, an owner answers.

Can you build decks in the winter?

Yes. KT builds year-round in Montana. Your timeline gets set at the walkthrough and goes in your written bid.

Will there be a dedicated team on my project?

Yes. Your job gets one crew and one schedule, from the first dig to the final walkthrough, with the owners on your site.

What if something unexpected turns up mid-job?

The number you approve is the number you pay. If something turns up underground that nobody could see, you hear about it first, and nothing changes without your approval.

How deep do deck footings have to go in Billings?

Deep enough to sit below the frost line so your frame does not heave over a Montana winter. Footing depth is set from the actual soil on your property, and because the excavator is ours, digging and correction happen on the same visit.

Composite or cedar for a Montana winter?

Both hold up when the framing underneath is right. Cedar costs less up front and needs sealing on a cycle. Composite costs more up front and gives you back the maintenance weekends. Your bid prices both, so you choose with real numbers.

Do I need a permit to build a deck in Billings?

Requirements depend on size, height and attachment to the house. What your specific build needs gets confirmed before pricing, and the answer goes in your written bid.
